WHAT IS THIS?
The 2015+ Dodge, Chrysler, Ram, Jeep, engine control modules are encrypted to prevent modification of the tune calibration. This is a mail-order service that unlocks and removes the encryption for the GPEC, GPEC2, and GPEC2A Powertrain Control Modules (PCM) in 2015 and newer FCA vehicles to allow for tuning. Here are some key details:
- The service is designed to unlock the PCM to enable OBDII reflash tuning through the diagnostic port.
- 2018+ vehicles will require a security gateway bypass cable.
- This service supports Continental GPEC, GPEC2, and GPEC2A with MPC based microprocessors.
- The service does not include any tuning or tuner credits.
- The unlock can be done to enable tuning for HP Tuners, BitBox, AlienTech, and Diablo (pick one).
- The unlock is different for each platform, you can only pick one, and you cannot switch back and forth.
- The customer is responsible for shipping.
- The process can take up to 24 hours, but we usually ship out the same day we receive the PCM.
- After reinstalling the PCM and connecting the negative battery terminal, the car should not be started until faults are cleared with a scan tool. For 2018+ vehicles you will need a scan tool that has SGA access or some means to bypass the security gateway (like a 12+8 Chrysler cable)
- The service supports a range of vehicles, including the Grand Cherokee TrackHawk, Charger and Challenger GT, RT, SRT, 392, Hellcat Redeye & Demon, Ram 1500 2500 TRX, Durango, 300M, and any other Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Mopar, FCA, or Stellantis vehicle with this model of PCM.
- The service supports a range of HEMI engines including 3.6L, 5.7L, 6.1L, 6.2L, 6.4L.
