01 / GMT800
1999–2006.
The LS-truck foundation.
Silverado and Sierra 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks with the 4.3L V6; 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L gasoline engines; or 6.6L LB7, LLY and LBZ Duramax diesel. Choose the engine below and continue to the same remote, mail-order or calibration-file options.
Gas: 4.3 / 4.8 / 5.3 / 6.0
Remote tuning, mail-order PCM work, VATS removal and calibration files for compatible Gen III truck controllers.
Duramax: LB7 / LLY / LBZ
Remote and mail-order tuning are available. If you already have an MPVI or RTD, purchase the calibration file by itself.
02 / GMT900
2007–2013.
Gas or Duramax?
Choose the engine family before choosing hardware. Gas applications include the 4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L and 6.2L. HD diesel trucks use LMM or LML Duramax systems. Both continue to remote tuning, mail-order service or a calibration file.
Gas: 4.3 through 6.2
Engine and transmission calibration for compatible E38-family truck applications, including AFM/DOD strategy changes where applicable.
Duramax: LMM / LML
Remote and mail-order tuning are available. If you already have an MPVI or RTD, purchase the calibration file by itself.
03 / K2XX
2014–2018.
Gen V trucks.
Silverado and Sierra gas trucks use the 4.3L LV3, 5.3L L83 or 6.2L L86. Heavy-duty diesel trucks span the LML and L5P changeover. LML follows the standard tuning choices; the 2017–2018 L5P trucks shown here require an E41 ECM upgrade first.
Gas: LV3 / L83 / L86
No ECM upgrade is required. Choose remote tuning, mail-order ECM service, hardware, or a calibration for the MPVI or RTD you already own.
Duramax: LML / L5P
LML uses the standard tuning choices below. The 2017–2018 L5P needs an E41 ECM upgrade before the same remote-tuning or calibration process.
04 / T1XX
2019+.
Choose the engine.
Later Silverado and Sierra trucks include 2.7L turbo gasoline, 4.3L V6, 5.3L and 6.2L V8, 3.0L Duramax, and HD gas or L5P Duramax combinations. Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD and 6500HD L5D applications are supported for 2019–2023. Check the choices below to see whether your ECM needs an upgrade before tuning.
5.3L L84 / 6.2L L87: E90 ECM
2019–2022 non-Global-B E90
PCM Tuners can upgrade the original E90 in the truck, or ship you the HP Tuners upgrade kit to complete the process and return the kit. The in-vehicle process uses the E90 upgrade box and HPTNet harness with an MPVI3 or MPVI4; the ECM does not need to be removed.
Global B E90
Refreshed Silverado and Sierra 1500 trucks—commonly identified as 2022.5 and newer—use the Global B E90 with the 5.3L L84 or 6.2L L87. The original ECM must be removed and sent to HP Tuners for its one-time physical upgrade before tuning.
L5P ECM unlock
The 2017 L5P E41 requires an in-vehicle upgrade kit or send-in service. For 2018–2023 L5P and 2019–2023 L5D trucks, HP Tuners now supports a direct OBD-II ECM upgrade using an MPVI4 and six Universal Credits. The 2024+ L5P uses the Global B E42 and requires a send-in upgrade.
3.0L Duramax: LM2 / LZ0
Global A LM2 trucks follow the standard tuning path. Global B 3.0L trucks use the E66 ECM and require a one-time send-in upgrade before tuning with an MPVI3 or MPVI4.
EARLIER VORTEC TRUCKS
Before Silverado
was the model name.
Black Box Vortec PCM service for 1996–2000 C/K, Silverado Classic and Sierra Classic applications with the 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L or 7.4L, plus supported Astro, S-10, Blazer, Express and Savana applications. Select heavy-duty and van applications continued into 2001–2002, so choose the controller—not only the model year.
Already have
the hardware?
Buy the calibration by itself for a compatible HP Tuners MPVI or RTD. Gas and Duramax transmission tuning is also available; controller licensing and upgrade requirements vary by transmission.
Need hardware?
RTD4 is the customer interface for a tuner-managed remote calibration. MPVI4 is the full professional interface used by tuners for scanning, diagnostics, data logging and calibration. Compatibility and HP Tuners credit requirements depend on the exact truck.
