The rule that prevents most problems
Match the complete GM service number
The donor label must show the exact same GM service number as the original. Do not buy by vehicle fitment, case appearance, connector shape, salvage-yard interchange, or an unverified supersession.
Upload a clear photo of both complete labels with your service request and wait for our match approval before shipping.
Starting GM coverage
Current coverage includes E37/E37A, E38, E39/E39A, E67, E78, and E92 ECM/PCM applications. Additional GM controllers may be accepted after we verify the method. There is no need to search hundreds of service numbers on the website – the label photos are the compatibility check.
What if the original does not communicate?
That does not automatically mean it is unreadable. A controller that is offline in the vehicle may still be recoverable with direct bench or boot access. Cloning only fails when the required original data cannot be recovered, or when the donor is wrong, locked, damaged, or unreadable.
If the standard clone cannot be completed from the supplied modules, we keep $99 for evaluation and tracked standard US return shipping and refund the rest. We never add extended recovery, replacement programming, or donor costs without your approval.
How we verify our part
For every completed clone, we identify both modules, retain the original backup, verify the written data, power-cycle the donor, and confirm post-write communication before shipment.
90-Day Clone Verification Guarantee
If our transferred data does not verify correctly, we will repeat the cloning work at no charge. This covers PCM Tuners’ data-transfer work. It does not cover vehicle diagnosis, wiring faults, shipping damage, or hardware failure in a customer-supplied module.
