PCM Tuners provides VIN programming services for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram engine control modules (PCM/ECM). This service is commonly used when installing a used or donor PCM that must be programmed to match the vehicle VIN before the vehicle will start and operate normally.
Many Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles require the PCM to contain the correct vehicle identification number before the vehicle systems will communicate and allow the engine to start. When a replacement PCM is installed, the VIN inside the module must match the VIN stored in other vehicle modules.
On vehicles equipped with factory security systems such as SKIM or RFHUB, the vehicle will typically start and operate normally once the PCM VIN matches the VIN stored in the rest of the system.
VIN programming orders can optionally include calibration updates or performance tuning. These options allow the PCM to be configured with updated settings before the module is returned.
