Description

Dyno Tuning – $750 Fixed Price

Dyno tuning is all about max effort—getting the highest possible horsepower and torque out of your vehicle in the safest way possible. Dyno tuning typically takes 3-5 hours. No matter the time, the cost of a dyno tune up to 8 hours (one day) is fixed at $750. If your vehicle requires an additional day of dyno tuning (rare), the cost is an additional $750.

CLICK HERE (new tab) for details about how to schedule your tune and to get setup for a successful dyno day.

What to Expect During a Dyno Tune:

  • Baseline Dyno Pull – We start with an initial dyno run to measure your vehicle’s current performance.
  • Air-Fuel Ratio & Ignition Timing Check – Ensuring proper fueling and timing is critical for performance and safety.
  • Detonation & Knock Detection – Knock (pre-ignition detonation) is harmful and damaging to the engine. We check for any signs of it and adjust accordingly.
  • Power Optimization – We modify air-fuel ratios and ignition timing to increase power while maintaining reliability.
  • Final Power Runs – After refining the tune, we verify the results with additional dyno pulls.

Dyno pulls are done in a high gear at high speeds, typically 120+ MPH. This process is all about peak performance. However, a dyno tune does not necessarily improve daily drivability. If you want to ensure smooth starts, idle stability, and proper gear transitions, you’ll need a street tune (sold separately).

If you need more than just wide-open-throttle power, check out our Street Tuning service (link) for optimal daily driving refinement.

The payment confirms your date for your dyno session. Here is what you need to know:

  • It is not refundable, but we understand that life happens so you can reschedule.
  • You can drop off your vehicle and leave the keys in the lockbox afterhours if you need.
  • The shop is small, and dynos are dangerous. We understand people want to watch the process, but we can’t accommodate anyone inside right now. You can hang out in the parking lot, but we will basically ignore you. It’s not personal, there’s just a lot to do and we need to stay focused.
  • We are happy to setup a camera and take some videos if you request it.
  • You will receive PDF copies of the dyno chart with before and after readings (where appropriate) as well as a copy of any datalog software to show HP, TQ, AF ratios, and other data as applicable.
  • Deliver the vehicle with a full tank of 93 Octane fuel. If this is an E85 or Flex Fuel tune/conversion then contact us for instructions.

Review this checklist (opens new tab) to make sure your vehicle is ready for tuning.
